Eleanor Lipsey is a senior risk officer, overseeing Trifinium's social housing credit risk management services. She is also part of the team providing controlling creditor and surveillance services.
Ms. Lipsey has worked for MBIA since 1998, where she underwrote credit exposures to utilities, Public-Private Partnerships/Private Finance Initiative (PPP/PFI) transactions, corporate counterparties (including construction companies), and fund managers (including those managing PFI portfolios).
Prior to relocating to London in 2002, Ms. Lipsey was based in MBIA’s Singapore office, where she led a team monitoring a portfolio of Asian credits, undertaking portfolio risk modelling, working out distressed infrastructure transactions and collateralized debt obligations, and managing a conduit vehicle that held infrastructure investments and financial institution debt.
Before joining MBIA, Ms. Lipsey spent over eight years at the Chase Manhattan Bank, where she was Country Credit Officer for the Singapore branch, head of the South-east Asian regional credit analysis unit, and previously a credit analyst at the Taipei branch of the bank.
Ms. Lipsey holds an MA from the University of Michigan and an MA and a BA from the University of Chicago. Ms. Lipsey is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
